Tips to Reduce Bloating and Boost Your Metabolism

Are you feeling bloated more often than not? Even when you're sticking to your diet and avoiding inflammatory foods? You're not alone. Bloating is a silent nuisance that sometimes may have more to do with stress than with food. Here are some of my best tips to help you combat bloating and boost your metabolism.

Hydrate, Hydrate

This may seem like an obvious tip, but believe it or not, most people still struggle with getting an adequate amount of liquid into their daily lives. Especially if they're spending the whole day at work. Make sure to get at least 8 glasses of water per day, even more if you're physically active, live in a warmer climate, eat salty foods, or are under a lot of stress.

Water helps reduce bloating by helping you flush the toxins out of your system and promote a faster metabolism. On the other hand, dehydration causes constipation, further exacerbating bloating symptoms and water retention.

Cleanse

Using specific products and ingredients helps get rid of toxins in a more efficient way. You might be eating all the right foods, but you just might need that extra push to reduce inflammation and improve the absorption of beneficial nutrients.

I'm personally a huge fan of ReadySlim's WakeyWakey morning tea as it helps reduce bloating and stabilize your blood sugar levels without any additives or artificial ingredients. I love to drink it before my daily cup of coffee as it's gentle on the empty stomach and tastes divine! It's a blend of nine beneficial herbs that work in sync to boost your metabolism, reduce bloat, increase your energy levels, and flush the toxins from your body.

The same brand has another amazing tea blend designed to be used before bedtime called Snoozzzy that helps relieve any digestive discomfort during the night. Restful sleep is extremely important when it comes to digestive health and their amazing tea helps promote sleep quality by soothing your stomach and digestive tract.

Move Your Body

Moving your body and increasing your daily level of activity helps keep your digestive tract healthy as it promotes food to move along your intestines. It also causes you to sweat, helping you get rid of toxins and retained water.

Find an activity you enjoy doing and implement it 2-3 times a week. It will do absolute wonders for your digestive health!

Take Probiotics

Your microbiome is home to a myriad of bacteria and you need to make sure to keep it nourished with healthy and beneficial bacteria so it balances out the "bad ones." Fermented foods and probiotic supplements are one of the best ways you can replenish your gut flora and help support your immune system, fight harmful pathogens, and reduce inflammation.

Bloating can often occur due to an increased gas production which is caused by an imbalance in your microbiome. Probiotics can help solve that problem and improve the health of your digestive system one meal at a time.

Reduce Stress

Although easier said than done, stress can be a massive culprit for bloating and digestion issues. Implement self-care, stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, journaling, epsom salt baths, or intentional chill time with your favorite Netflix show, and find the time to unwind.

Your body, and your mind, both need rest and relaxation. It's when your parasympathetic nervous system activates and helps improve your digestion, promoting better nutrient absorption, and reducing inflammatory agents.

No one enjoys feeling bloated and over time, it can cause more and more frustration, only worsening the symptoms. Move your body, keep a bottle of water with you at all times, invest in good quality probiotics, implement routines to reduce stress in your life, and get yourself a good cup of delicious ReadySlim teas!
